About Michael Miró Voice Over Professional
On-camera and voice-over work since 1993, copywriting / editing since 1992.

Working with a variety of private firms
and production facilities, my experience spans a wide array of styles
and characterizations, from voicing an Antonio Banderas-like Latino
frog for a multi-state roofing company, to providing the deep movie
trailer announcer voice for a series of commercials for a home water
treatment firm, to providing the airline captain announcement style
for telephone messages for a new catered meal delivery start-up
operation.
Switching from characterizations to long-format internet sales narrations, I've recorded several scripts in a series of online sales presentations for a prolific social scene columnist.
In addition to providing voiceover services to European firms, my experience as a magazine editor has also allowed me to assist in script enhancement, helping them smooth out their material translated into English, for better flow and "listen-ability".
My voice qualities are across the spectrum ranging from deep, resonant, comforting, assuring to jovial, amiable, or excited. Together, we can lend a bright, energetic and comedic tone to promos, as well as a deeper, authoritative feel to more serious commercial/trailer work. My comfortable, matter-of-fact delivery lends itself well to documentaries. And adept ability with foreign accents, and characters has lent itself well to productions even outside the U.S.

Background
From Navy pilot, to airline pilot, to voice actor: How did THAT happen? Well, actually it's been a pretty logical progression. While serving on active duty in the Navy as an advanced flight instructor, due to my background in photography, I was selected to coordinate the production of training videos and sound/slide presentations related to the Navy's then-new multi-engine trainer, the T-44. It was at that point that I became more interested in video production. Years later, while a captain at AA, I also served as a media representative, providing a pilot's perspective to TV/radio news crews covering airline-related issues. That led to in-house media productions for pilots at all of our bases, writing scripts and narrating them in front of, or behind the camera. I never lost my fascination with media and became ever more interested in the voiceover process. Finally, after retiring from my flying career, I've found voiceover to be a highly satisfying creative outlet and have amassed an array of memorable training and performing experiences ever since! Training
In voiceover, as in flying, training is critical and I've been fortunate to train with the very best in our field. They've included such luminaries as: Pat Fraley, Joan Baker and Rudy Gaskins, Dave Fennoy, David Alden, Cedering Fox, Vanessa Gilbert, David Goldberg, Don Morrow, Ray Nakamoto, and Marc Cashman. |
